 A second series of Callas portraits came to life one year later, in the wake of "Medea",
on the Scorpios island. Just like the drawings of 1969, Pasolini attached a particular importance to these sketches, coming forth as the result of a perfectly-staged ritual of the used materials.

Une deuxième serie de portrais de la Callas a été exécutée pendant des vacances sur
l'île de Scorpios, une année après l'achèvement de "Medea".
Comme pour les dessins datant de 1969, Pasolini donna à ceux-ci une signification particulière résultant d'un rituel parfaitement organisé des matériaux utilisés.
