Biographical Note: Yiannis Mitrakas was born in 1936 in Thrace. He studied Sociology. He worked for the Public Power Company. He has held sixty one personal exhibitions in Greece, America and Europe. He has received eleven awards and eighteen medals. Paintings of his are parts of many private collections in Greece (Athens, Thessaloniki, Sparta, Kimi, Komotini, Alexandroupolis, Didimoticho etc.), Australia and Canada, and of collections belonging to National and public Galleries.
