The works created during 1994 – 07 are mostly an expression of states and facts from the inner life of the artist. The emerging situations and personages belong to the strange world of myths and dreams, out of which they bear themselves spontaneously for life. One is inclined to say: these are visionary works, as far as they reflect a contemplation of images and processes, having their roots somewhere in the far past and spreading forwards into the future. The work of the artist has been just to give way and place, to vest with concrete imagery and to organize aesthetically this otherwise polysemous and sometimes confused world. Thus a double work is being done: on the one hand, the images are “humanized”, i.e. they approach the human scale and on the other, they receive themselves an opportunity for a better expression. These humanlike creatures, depicted in their strange realm arouse in us self-irony. A slowed down, not to say stopped time, inhabited with motionless, a little bit distorted often rather disproportional creatures, looking as they are taken by surprise by the fact of their own existence. Still they find strength enough to feel at home in this alien and yet known landscape, building together an old-new universe. Funny and strange into an indifferent world. And it seems their strangeness is their reason to be and why not their way to survive.
