The Russian Antique Salon presents selected collections of the leading domestic and foreign galleries, as well as exhibits from private collections: paintings, graphic and sculptural arts items, pieces of furniture, crockery items, jewelry, and many other things – from Middle Ages to the mid-20th century. The items offered at the Salon are traditionally distinguished for their highly artistic level and undoubted authenticity.

Art Culture Studio, the organizers of the Moscow World Fine Art Fair, have decided to cancel the sixth edition of the fair, which was to have taken place from May 25 to June 1. The company plans to announce the decision on Friday.
According to General Manager Sixtine Crutchfield, the cancellation came mainly due to the inability to secure sufficient sponsorship. Sponsorship covers the approximately €3 million ($3.9 million) production costs of the fair, said Crutchfield, while booth fees from dealers pay for the rental of the Manege building, where the fair takes place. |

On October 18, 2008, the Russian Antique Salon will open its anniversary 25th season. On its three floors, the Central House of Artists (Krymsky Val) will accommodate more than 200 galleries. Leading participants of the Russian antiquarian market will present their collections and works of art of various periods and schools, in which specialists, collectors, and antiquaries display unflagging interest.
